About Me

Hello! My name is Faerl Marie. I’m 29 and preparing to start some of the greatest adventures of my life–buying a home, having a baby, and looking towards a future I know is bright even if it’s a mystery. I’m a wife to J, my husband of 7 years, a writer, a Younique Presenter, a blogger, and an aspirational mother. I’m also getting an MFA in Creative Writing and I have a full-time day job.

I believe in seeking God with all my heart and surrendering to His mercies each day so I may be a living example of His love and salvation.

I believe my marriage is for life. Marriage is incredible if you marry the right person and you both decide each day to be the best person you can be for each other. J is perfect for me and I thank God everyday for the abundance of love and grace I find in my husband.

I believe in pursuing life wildly and with abandon. God’s purpose for my life is found in wild obedience to His Word and to His still small voice in my heart. I want to be undomesticated, free of the constraints that fear and doubt would use to fence me in.

“But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for He has been good to me!”  Psalm 13:5-6

I believe that part of my purpose is to have children and raise them to love God and love people. I believe when I rely on God’s Word He will lead me and provide the tools and provisions I need to be an excellent mother and example.

I believe in grace and forgiveness for my fellow man and try to exemplify this in my behavior–though I often fall short.

I believe in what I write and struggle against the pressure to conform my voice and words to what is popular, esteemed by society, or academically acceptable.

“Let other pens dwell on guilt and misery.” ~Jane Austen

I believe in happiness and beauty. Joy that surpasses circumstance can be found in Christ. Our choices and behaviors and the way we express our feelings have a significant impact on our emotions and the emotions of the people we encounter. I am far from perfect but I do try each day to choose happiness and behave in a way that supports that feeling in myself and others.

I believe in you! I believe God loves you regardless of how you feel about Him. I believe that you are created for joy and love both from heaven and here on earth. I believe you have a purpose and design that is unique to your personality and life.
